Steering wheel with color BMW logo?

I bought a 98 BMW M3 a couple weeks ago, and noticed that the BMW logo on the steering wheel was completely black. Is this the standard for this year's model? I only tested out 3 cars, and all had black logos. I kind of like the BMW logo in color...is there a way to get this put on, or do I need to replace the whole steering wheel?



Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.

Yeah, I've wondered about that. My 96 318is has the color roundel on the steering wheel, but my 96 M3 doesn't. I think it is just sticker type deal, but I am not really sure since I don't want to take it off. The color/shiny one definitely looks much better, though.

If you have the four spoke wheel, I think that you cannot change it (unless you buy the three spoke sport wheel). I have the sport wheel with the standard BMW colored Roundel.

The 4 spoke M3 steering wheel does not have coloured BMW roundel. The 3 spoke wheel found in late 98 and 99 cars has the coloured roundel. I don't think getting a coloured roundel on your wheel is do-able, but you can always change the wheel. Your options: 99 wheel, Euro M-tech wheel and late production E34 wheel, have the coloured roundel

Wow...great step by step instructions! It's a bit more complicated than putting on a sticker.
