    Replacing hood propping shocks...

Has anyone ever done this?? Mine just went out today...ugh...not sure if it's just one side or both, regardless, I'm gonna have to replace them. I briefly looked at them, but I don't see any nuts/bolts to loosen so I can replace these myself. Is this gonna have to be a dealer visit?

They pop off if I remember. I would have to look again. They have a way they are connected to the hood and body that allows them to be poped off.

Haven't looked at mine. but most rear hatch struts have a small retaining clip that holds them in.

I just replaced mine. It takes about 10 minutes. 7 minutes for the first one, to figure out how they come off. And then about 30 seconds for the other one. I had someone hold the hood. The rest of the time is for walking around the car and picking up. (before i get a math lesson from you anal members). It works best to take one end off first. ( I think off the body, Can't remember).. It is easy thougfh. should be no problem.
