suggestions for HK sound

my driver-side tweeter is shot so I need to replace it. I'm interested in any suggestions you guys have as far as an aftermarket speaker i can replace it with or if anyone has their HK system sitting around unused, I'll buy it.



If i go with an aftermarket speaker, i want to put in a tweeter and mid-range combo but keep the outside of the door panel looking the way it is. I'm wondering if I have to get a new amp for this and if I do that should I just replace the rear speakers as well? To make a long story short, I like my music but I'll be happy with something that isn't buzzing. I don't need anything extravigant.



any help or suggestiosn would be greatly appreciated.

I had to make the same decision just recently. I opted to go for a 2-way component system for the front, 5.25" speakers in the foot panels, 1" tweeters and nothing in the mids (although you could still probably put something in there if you wanted to). At first the guy I work with wanted to sell me the Pioneer speakers but then we agreed on the Rockford Fosgate ones for a little bit more, total was $200 installed. If you want something really nice then you are looking at MB Quart, Focal Utopias or a/d/s type brands but those will start at $300-400.

I went with Boston Pro's You can get the 5.25 or the 5.5, they both should fit. They will come with the 1 inch tweeter....



When it is done, it will look stock
