How hard it is to install the x-brace?

My cross-brace is coming in tomorrow, how hard it is to install this thing? How many hours would it take or is it just a bolt on? Also included in the package is Euro floating rotors and Hawk blue pads

    TIA!

Very easy. Just bolt on. Two bolts in the rear and four in the front. 5-10 minutes tops.

Easy. Straight bolt up. I believe theres an OEM part that goes on converts along with aftermarket.

Remove the existing cross member first or you'll spend all day trying to work out how to fit the bloody thing on...

I should recieve mine on thursday, I am wondering if my car should have the "rivnuts" already installed. It is a 3/95 build date. I know I could just look, but I didnt feel like jacking or using my ramps just to see.

Any info on how to install them if I need to?

You might not. That is a pretty early build date.

There is a how to somewhere. May be at Pelican Parts.

I think you bascially drill some holes and install the inserts. The bolts from the x brace then screw into the inserts.

Thanks, it also says that M3's built after 10/94 have the "rivnuts" pre-installed. Is this true? or do they maybe mean 10/95? I know some 95's had 94 build dates, but it couldnt have been that many, and I have herd many people having to install these "rivnuts."

Anyway, I guess I will find out when I install it.

I'd use a torque wrench and clean the nuts out before installing. I get the feeling these nuts are not designed for repeated removal of this part and I would be carefull not to torque them too tight.
