    A Short Life Story...

Since I'm new to this forum, I thought I'd say a little something about myself...

I've lived in So. Calif. most of my life but will eventually move to Hawaii when the time is right. I have three kids, 2 in high school and 1 in Jr. high. My wife, Cindy, was my best friend and soul mate for 25 years, married almost 17 years. She passed away last October 4, 2003, from an illness of 10 years and my fairy tale life is no more.

I bought my M3 three weeks before she passed away, hoping I could get her out of her wheelchair for one last ride in our favorite car, but that never happened. Needless to say, my children are all I live for now. But I do have the car and the 04 Gsxr (which I bought earlier this year with my kids' permission) for those momentary periods of happiness.

If there's one thing that my wife taught me, it's NOT to take anything for granted and that people should stop looking for things they want, but rather start wanting the things they have. I still have my children, my health, and now, my blessed memories of Cindy.

wow, but still you keep on pushing, and the thing your friend told is i can see how important that is.

But I wish I could live in the CA area to hang out because you seem like a really cool guy. Oh and maybe post a photo of the family? I don't think many of the E36 owners are family men yet. So I hope many will follow your lead.

Well, i have one that is due in less than 4 weeks, so we do exist. I also test fit the baby seat today and as of now the M will stay as my daily driver because the seat fit.

Hey, it does sound like a hard ride for you, but at least you got to be with a woman that you loved for 20+yrs.... I don't think many of us can say that on this forum. Your gift, was trully rare.... More rare than any M3 out there

          Thanks for your post

Thanks for the comments and feedback. I know that my late wife is smiling right now, only because she knows how much I want to be happier.

By the way, if you already haven't noticed, I've posted a thread about a turbo conversion for my M3. That will definitely make me somewhat happier I'll keep you posted on the turbo progress.

            Thanks again!

Very nice advice for those of us that haven't had and lost what you have.

Good idea, no need to switch to a minivan just yet. You could do a lateral deal and go M3/4 for kid #2. Remember, the change table is the key to the whole baby thing! Get ready for new sleep patterns!
