Your M3 already has tube headers. I doubt there is any power to be gained before the CAT and minimal power afterwards. I would spend the money on tires/suspension. If stock is good enough for you, get the bushings, alignment, shocks in perfect working order. Big engine gains will cost a lot and affect driveability.

i agree with salty! the car has enough power for now. I mean whats power, without control?!?! work on that suspension then maybe get a short shifter, lightweight flywheel! I myself was thinking about getting headers and an exhaust system until SG_M3 was telling me, that there was basically nothing to gain in that area without a cam swap. So, now im saving up for some cams from eurosport. The kit is roughly $3000 but, it shoud put you right at or close to 300 bhp!

You could go with a Jim Comforty Stage 1 Kit, Sharked.com will learn you about that,

around 985$ for a gain of around 20+ HP.... I did it, and I am still smiling
