I read somewhere that as long as they are w/in 10% of each other, things are probably okay. I could just be off my rocker though.

If the head gasket was leaking you wouldn't have consitant numbers across the board. I don't think there's anything wrong with the engine. The compression test needs to be done again, the correct way.

Can't you get a compression reading from the DIS machine? Is that not true? Or is that for the newer cars only?

No cars. You'd have to have a pressure sensor in the combustion chamber.

It could be but probably not. If the head gasket is leaking you'll also have other problems. Low coolant level, very rough start when cold, and the cooling system will get pressurized with exhaust gas and cause leaks everywhere.

I did compression test myself by 25 dollars tool form advance autopart. I cranked the engine until the needle stop climbing. The result from 200-215 accross the cylenders.



I suprise about the result since I thought my car was weak. It burn oil about 1000miles/qrt and running rich. I will replace the O2 sensor and let you guys know.
