Just wondering what your all e36 trunk emblems look like. the red stripe on mine is white and it doesnt say 3 next to the M. Is this the way it is suppose to be?

Sorry, Wermen, but I think yours has the eBay "blue light" special emblem. I've seen those emblems on alot of Hondas, VW's, Toyotas, well.....you get the picture.
It probably got jacked and the previous owner didn't want to pay for a factory emblem......but I may be wrong. :???: -

Wermen,
The previous owner "shaved" the 3 on your trunk. They just took fishing line or dental floss and pulled it off.
The white stripe was probably red at one time, but has since faded, like my old one did, it turned pink first, which was extremely dumb looking (ahem, STI, cough, cough)
I bought one at the dealer for $50. It was pricey but you know that it is the right size, and more importantly, the right colors. You can probably get an OEM one on ebay, but they are rare and surrounded by fakes, so beware. The 3 would be cheaper to buy at the dealer, and I prefer to have it, since I don't understand why anyone would want to shave the emblems on an ///M
