Is it ok if my driver's license is expired??

I actually knew my licencse was expired a few months ago, but it kept slipping my mind and i just remembered yesterday that its still expired. The thing is..i'm going to pick up my M3 on tuesday. All my paperwork for my loan is done at the bank, but what about when i go to the notary? Do you think this is going to cause any problems?

One other question....i live in PA but I'm buying my car from a guy in Delaware. Does anyone know how the sales tax will work. If i bought the car in PA I'd pay the typical 6% sales tax. But, Delaware only has something like 2.5% i think. Will i pay the Del. tax, the PA tax or both ?

You need to renew your license, but I doubt it would affect getting anything notarized.

You'll be paying the tax where you register the car. Many of the taxes are capped. Like here in Duval County (Jacksonville) Florida, you pay 7% tax on the first $5000, and then a flat fee for the excess. I'm sure your county operates in a similar manner.

Correct. I bought my car in PA and registered it in VA. I *wish* I could have paid PA sales tax. Would have saved me a bundle. Damned communist state of VA!!!

      :bang:
