Rubber Vs. Urethane shock tower bushings???

Whats the concensus on the rubber vs. the Urethane rear shock tower mount bushings. I have stock shocks and springs in the rear and just recently got into Auto-X. I want to keep upgrading but wonder what more Urethane is going to do to my regular ride since this is also my daily driver.

Any suggested brands or retailers? I got my lower control arm bushings from BavAuto and love them. Is there a better place to pick these up at?

What, if any damage am I causing by driving around before I replace them?

I just wanted some opinions from the masses...

    Thanks guys, and gals,

If your going to autocross than I would go with Ground Control rsm because they use a stiffer material (polyurethane). The polyurethane will cause a slightly harsher ride and increased vibration. However, most people that have gc rsms can't feel a difference between GC and oe rsms. If you don't plan on tracking or auto-x than go with rogue engineering rsms (30% stiffer rubber) because they provide better ride comfort. Both GC and RE rsms will probably outlast the lifetime of the car. I just replaced my rsms with RE and couldn't be happier. Bottom line...anything is better than bmw oe e36/e46 rsms.

Rubber will get you a softer ride, urethane will be stiffer, but stronger.

Keep in mind that the rubber will be plenty strong for those that drive their car on streets. You shouldn't have to worry about future replacement of rsms with either types. Its really personal preference.
