A A tuning vs Conforti Chip

I have been wondering what what chip is better performance wise. I am planning on ordering one of the two and just wanted some input from people that have one. If you dont have either brand what brand do you have and how do you like it. I have 95 M3 with AA cai and AA dtm exhaust so I was leaning more toward aa chip. So please help me out.

    Thanks eace:

I've never had anything but the AA prog....so I could not provide you with an intelligent statement regarding a comparison. But I am totally satisfied with what AA did for me.

Hold the post long enough and I'm sure someone will chime in with a valid comparison.

I was going to say the same thing. Shame, too, as I watched a friend switch his AA chip for a Jim C back to back on a dyno to see the difference on his 95 M3. :hmm:

My bad guys I am just tired of people always posting threads on should I buy this car or that car. Just wanted to get my chip before I got my car on the dyno this thurs.

.....sorry I deserve the replies that I got.

Okay. The one time I watched a swap between two chips on a dyno was a friend's 95 M3, and the Conforti chip blew the Active chip out of the water. Not only did it make more HP, but the TQ curve was much more flat and the HP curve was a whole lot smoother - The AA had power dips that the Conforti software didnt. After driving around for two months on both chips, his choice was the Conforti without question.

                  Thanks for the apology,

And I shall give my wisdom now freely.... (what little wisdon I have)

I really can not compare the AA chip to the JC.

But I do have the JC, and the sad truth is, I can not tell you if it was the chip that made the difference or the Euro JC CAI kit that made the difference, because I installed the JC stage 1 all at once...

But I will tell you after the install, which incuded the chip, the car accelerates without any sputer/stutter at all. What I mean is, while it was stock you could feel some hesitation within the car..... Now she just climbs through the RPM without care.... smooth as butter....

I had the occasion to watch my tach fly beyond 6500 as I shifted at 7K. I figured that the engine would want to blow up beyond 6.5K.... NO she just sailed right up to 7K like it was even tasking the car at all.... I am really happy with the results, despite the high price....

That is all I can offer

Thanks Dakhar for the info, conforti sounds like a pretty good choice.

Unichip would be an even better choice, but you couldn't have it by Thursday.
