    Putting a E36 up on a lift

hey guys school's about to start and just buying the m3 this summer i haven't gotten a chance to get into the shop..

now that school starts in 3 days i wanna get my car up on a lift and change the rotors and flush my brakes and tranny fluid and put in more gear lube..

maybe later put in a SSK that replaces the linkage

anyways its' a 97 m3 and i'm wondering where the lift points are .

the lifts at school are a 4 point hydraulic lift... it'll put the car's tires well about 7-8 feet into the air so it's pretty high... i heard some wierd stories about lifting m3's.. i just don't get why they need those holes there

anyways so yeah i'm lookin to get some information on how to put my m3 up on a lift.. thanks for the help in advance guys cya

the little holes are for the stock jack, you don't need to worry about them.

I think you are talking about the holes under the car correct?

The holes underneath are for jack pads I believe. They provide a buffer between the lift and the bottom of your car. If you dont ust them you can put pressure on the side skirts and pop them out. I watched my dealer do this to my car first hand so if you dont use them be careful where the pressure point is under the car so as to not damage anything.

wait so ...are there lifting points? under our cars? and if so are they just like any other car? just find the jack points? are there 4? the lifts at school are 4 points lifts

Use the frame railes up front, and the jack points in the rear to jack the car up.
