AMP location in a 99 CONVERTIBLE

Guys,



Where EXACTLY is the stock amp located in an E36 convertible? Also if someone has a pic showing exactly where, that would be nice.



I removed the WRONG item, but luckily did not break any clips or remove any wiring and hooked it all back.

Behind the rear seats. Pull the rear headrests up to get them out (and I mean PULL). Pop the rear seat rest outwards and up from the bottom. Pull back the sound deadening material on the passengers side and volia; the factory amp.

Bolted in to the metal frame right? Man people have been saying pop the trunk and pull back the matting and look on the driver side.....I'm like what???? no amp there. It looks like the factory amp right there bolted inside the metal square behind the passenger rear seat to me..............like you said.

Correct. It is bolted to the metal. Sedans and Coupes have it in the trunk. 'Verts are behind the seats. Good luck!
