what is the official name of the plastic console that goes around the shifter that the shifter boot snaps into? Mine has every single mounting tab broken off due to the previous owners botched stereo install. I am trying to search for it on ebay and elsewhere, but can't find one and I would really like to fix it since the current one is just being held in place by gravity and the surrounding panels . . .

Call a dealer parts department and describe it exactly as you did. They should be able to tell you what it's called and give you a part number too. -

eek i just realizeded i cant order from them. anyone know who i can order from? im not talking mod parts...but actualy oem parts...like weather strip and other things.
