How is this SSK for the E36 M3? Thinking about getting one from a friend of mine...good idea or not?

I've had the EVO I and now have the EVO III in my 99 M3. A world of difference. The EVOI was too notchy and you can hear/feel tranny vibrations. The EVO III is smoother and makes absolutely no noise. I highly recommend it.

Not to high jack the thread, but would the ssk's being sold work for 6 speed trannies?

I've asked that of most of the US manufacturers and none of them replied with much confidence... "should do", "don't see why not" were typical answers.

When I asked if they had tested them on a 6 Speed e36, all said "no". Hence the reason I don't have one.

Very interesting -- don't hear much about them, think that's the brand BavAuto sells.

if ya read bimmer mag (april 04 pg.20 & oct 03 pg.30) or roundel, they talk about autosolutions there. before i invested, i tried the big 2 in the business.. Rogue and UUC. Then I tried autosolutions.. it was a no brainer.

              just look into it...

                ROGUE MAKES A 6 SPEED!!!!

Sorry, but I feel like I type this all the time. www.rogueengineering.com

I too felt the autosolutions and the Rogue and felt the rogue to be better, that coupled with the fact that the Autosolutions uses alot of the stock parts which are known to wear (in the stock shifter) leads me to believe they would wear in the autosolutions kit and provide the same slop.

When is UUC coming out with the EVO 4? :takecover That's the one thing that bugs me about buying the evo3 is that the next generation will probably come out within a few years. Then I will have to hear how the evo 4 is so much better than my evo 3. :chair: eace:

This is almost like a planned obsolence organized by UUC. AA, autosolutions, rogue, etc. who make shift kits dont have updates every 2 years or so.

It could be said...oh, ROb has just come up with something that much better, but when compared with other shifters..he is really just catching up..not offerring something that much better.

I am not sure if there is a difference in the angle of the shifter lever but the UUC Evo3 E36 M3 6spd SSK comes with a new shifter carrier with the ERK already attached to it. The SSK for the 5spd M3s does NOT come with a new carrier. Delrin bushings and cartridge bearings are standard.

                              Ahhhh. Gotcha.

Quick thread hijack here... maybe you can tell me how to undo this bushing from the car.. as mine is horribly loose and I believe its causing alot of my play. I played with it some while I was under there but couldn't figure out how its connected.

They have one specific for the 6-speed.
