    Car Cover Question

I have a black 1998 E36 M3 with factory rear spoiler. Do you guys have any recommendations on car covers?

Also, does anyone know the difference between the follwing BMW OEM car covers 82 11 1 468 689 / 82 11 1 470 385 and where either would fit my car?

No idea what the differences are. Try to keep the car as clean as possible when you use one though, or you'll end up with microscratches in your paint.

I got a cover for my 1998 M3/4 with factory spoiler for $133 from Pacific BMW. Phone salesman said he didn't know of any difference in covers for spoiler/nonspoiler covers. They should be able to tell you difference in part numbers as well. It fits snug with the spoiler, but alot better than non-BMW generic fit covers. Without going custom fit it, I am pleased with the results.

I have a cover craft custom fit cover, made with Kimberly Clark fabric. (I forget which one). It fits perfect.

Read the Bavauto catalogue for an education in car covers.

I don't use it much anymore b/c I rent a garage space, but I was quite pleased in the past with my BMW cover made by NOAH, some kind of advanced fabric that protects well but let's moisture out, something like that... well why don't I just paste it for you?

Like Evolution4, NOAH fabric is engineered for exceptional resistance to rain, snow, dust and UV rays. At the same time it lets the paint and finish 'breathe', allowing moisture trapped under the cover to evaporate. The exterior layer defends against scratches, dirt, bird droppings, etc. while the soft-touch inner layer pampers the finish. And NOAH weighs just 4 1/2 ounces per square yard so it's easier to put on and take off than Evolution4.
