How rare is my 97 m3 light weight?

How rare is my 97 m3 light weight? Im not sure how many come like mine? I have no sunroof but do have the racing seats? I also don't have dual power seats they are fully manual. Most all m3s i have seen have full power and sun roof. This one would be much lighter and stiffer I would say?

I'm pretty sure they only made the lightweight M3 in '95 in the US. It's white with the motorsport checkered flag decal on the drivers side front corner of the hood and the passenger rear corner of the trunk.

Also, the car's interior is lined with red carbon fiber.

You may have a '97 that is lighter than other M3's, but not a lightweight M3.

Extremely rare....AKA, they are non-existant. The LTW was a '95 special edition. What you have is a car w/out a sunroof and power seats option.

You have a base model. But say it's lightweight to sound cool.

He's pretty much right. The having no sunroof option costs like 2-3k extra I think and the lightweight only came in 95.

Wait, you had to pay to not have a sunroof?

It is in a sense a lighter m3..but as stated by everyone else it is not a true lightweight.

I dont think that manual vaders are all that rare...i have them and most non-lux m3s have them as well.

The sunroof delete is a feature that purists really seem to like, I like my sunroof enough that I think I would miss it.

IMHO, some people take weight loss way too far. I mean some people are willing to pay top $ for the lighter doors from the lightweight m3, willing to strip down their interiors, take out the spare tire which acts just as much as an impact absorber as it does a spare tire.

uh,no. It saved $1200 off the sticker, I think. The sunroof was a option.

                    I wish i didn't have one.
