I've got a '95 originally equipped with an 11 (i think) button CCM, but the screen is failing and was thinking of upgrading to the 18 button OBC. Will all functions of new unit be accessible even though my car didn't come equipped with it? Thanks in advance

You would need to add all the wiring for the other functions. If the car came with the 11 button, the car isn't prewired for the 18 button unit.

dealer replaced for me for free!! awesome. Even gave me a new loaner while they worked... nice to be suprised from time to time.

I don't know, they replaced my crappy 11 button... when it dies again I'm going to the 18, trying to get all the resources together now. Call them. call BMW N/A and explain how rediculous it is for a car like the ///M to have stupid crap like this breaking...Comment
