we all come on here to learn about E36 M3's so lets keep things civil.
ndehlinger dnt "bitch attack" Doug, he worked hard for his car man, and at the end of the day it is a E36 328i M sport, he knows it and doesn't pretend it is a M3 . Also the 328i is 2nd in line behind the M3.
Lsb M3 many people do not widebody M3's as they look gud as they are. Secondaly profeessional wide body conversions are extremely exspensive. I guess with widebodies you either like them or u dnt.
Personally i like the subtle aggression the E36 M3 has.
first of all, i came from owning imports all my life and got tired of owning one,(still own one ,a trailer bitch integra). so i jump up to a e36 and i amire the looks of an M and MY 328.So ive been on this thread long enough to understand about the M and such,so that ive not seen a widebody M on this thread and ive known about the gtr and such,,,,ndehlinger, back off,,we all here welcome any bmw 3 series, this froum not just for M only,,,
i have not been on here for too long but this is a place to get to know everything and anything we can about our cars. Q's are welcome whatever they are.
'rogue'.... i dont think 328 was out of line with his 1st reply either.
By the way, a 328is is a great car. Just like ours but a little bit slower. But not by much.
I met a guy once down here in Fort Lauderdale, he had a 328is, with intake, chip, and exhaust. He was telling me that he had never lost to an M3 off the line, from 0-60, in a traffic light in town. His reason was that his car was lighter than an M3, and he was pushing some decent horsepower with his mods. I agreed to race him because I knew he wasn;t going to beat me, I had just come back from college at the time (4 years ago) and had taken my M3 to the 1/4 miles run almost every month. So I knew how to launch my car perfectly.
Anyway, the 1st run, we started out the same from 0-30 mph, and then I took him. I was mad and asked him to try again, the 2nd time I took him from the start (1/2 car length) and then just left him behing when I hit 2nd gear. He told me that he had never seen an M3 take him off the line. And I'm 100%stock by the way.
Either, the other M drivers did not know how to launch, or this dude was a really good driver and knew his power zone well.
From them on, I've understood the power of any inline 6 BMW, and I always wonder how fast a slightly modded 330ci would be off the line compared to ours. Any ideas? Maybe not as fast as our M3, because its heavier I think.

Umm..I was responding because you called widebodies "r1ce" and then implyed you were speaking for all of us.
You only get "flamed" if you ask a ridiculous question or something of that nature...not asking about something such as a widebody kit which can be well done.
I dont care what you drive..everyone is welcome here.
M-Crazy also has a widebody M3 vert which is probably going to win car of the month on bimmerforums. The gallery has been looked at so many times the site went down
I don't like that wide body look at all, but I do like that paint job on the avus. How on earth did they get that shine depth? Is that a good cleaning / polishing / waxing job, or simply a new paint job, or simply digital photography touch-up? Its pretty easy to add reflection touch ups.
