auto vs. manual m3

I've beaten 2 different manual M3's in a race. Auto M3 has higher top end ability.



Most manual stick drivers can't shift as smoothly and quickly as the auto in (S) mode.. either that or they screw up all too often.



I raced a Billit stang .. smoked his ass too - he missed a gear.

that makes sense, the auto still being in 4th gear in the power band keeps pulling strong where the manual has to shift into 5th loosing that powerband.. but off the line the manual has more of an advantage, and thats why my friend with a manual m3 pulls on me a bit off the line, but not even right off the line, more like in 2nd and 3rd gear, but 4th auto kicks ass in.. the auto m3 in S mode with a tranny chip is pretty damn good, best auto car i've driven.. but i still wish i had a manual

I think there is always just that added element of shifting in the manual that ultimately makes it more fun.
