I was hoping some one can answer a few questions that i have regarding my M3. I'm from Australia and not many people seem to know much about M3's.
Firstly BMW have advised me i need to replace my VANOS unit very expensive in Aus $5000.
Would anyone know where i could purchase one overseas for a cheaper rate?
Also does a faulty VANOS cause my car to ping when i accelerate. It seems to do this when my oil temp gets over 100 degress.
Is the oil cooling reliant on the radiator cooling it?
A response would be much appreciated.
