e36 m3 specs

Hi all,



My names Andrew, from Sydney Australia, and a first time user. I am looking at purchasing a e36 m3, so could you all fill me out on what to look for, etc etc.



My main question is, with the SMG and Stick versions of the E36, I belive the SMG system isnt as good as the current E46 spec. I do live in the city area, so a SMG car would be pretty good for the daily grind, but I also do do a fairbit of spirited driving on the weekends, and plan to track day the car, as well as use it for tarmac rallies.



I am planning to modify the car (bigger brakes, coilovers, full exhaust system and a ECU upgrade), so what would you all reccomend.

He's got to be if he's talking about getting SMG. They never gave that to us in the US.
