    Needing brake rotors and pads

Can someone guide me to the best pricing for rotors and pads? I am needing for all 4 corners, but if I can get a killer price on a great setup for just the fronts with pads then I'll wait with the rears. I'm particularly interested in the floating Euro rotors and some excellent pads. My 1998 M3/4 has the stock rotors with about 1/16" lip on all 4. They are in dire need of replacement.

    Thanks,

Stock US rotors are good for almost all applications. The floating rotors are somewhat expensive (Around $120 each I believe). Although they are slightly lighter and offer better protecion from warpping, and look neat.

I run the floating rotors and they have been the best rotors I have used so far on any car.

Get some axxiss ultimate pads and you'll bet set.

I paid $375 for Axxis ultimates, Zimmerman drilled rotors, sensor wires, and shipping. Peformance Parts Store. Excellent customer service too. They have Brembo's too. Check Ebay.

Well, I've just done some exhaustive searching online (ebay...) and found some good rotors I might pick up. There are also some Axxis Ultimates I found, too. Sounds like I may end up with the same setup as SIRIUS. These are just for the front, and the rear will have to wait. I only had a $320 budget for all 4, but I thought I could include the floater rotors in that price. NOT!

Well, I have OEM pads. Next time I am going with low-dust pads.

The deal from Performance Parts Store is a great one. I'd get their stock US replacement rotors, instead of zimmerman cross drilled.

Can someone point me to where I might find Euro floater rotors for cheap? Less than $129.99, such as what is found on Bavarian Autosport's website.

I think I'm going with Axxis Ultimate's brake pads. I am still, however, undecided about the rotors. Not sure if I'm willing to spend the $ for only front rotors (thus, the Euro floaters), when I can get the f/r setup by going with some other brand. Looks like I'm going to stay away from Zimmerman on the front, but perhaps I will use them on the rear. Some reseach revealed that they crack under heavy use.

So, can someone point me in the inexpensive direction?

              Thanks

Go for the stock US rotors, floaters aren't worth the money IMO.

Is there a website for Performance Parts Store?

Performance Parts Store - Craig [[email protected]]

the ****... just got mine, haven't opened them yet, but don't think I can go wrong with the number of people happy on bf.c

Only needed rotors, shipped them all (4) to my door for $160, that's $40 a piece!! awesome. Brembos, and zimmermans.

I have Powerslots on the front and OEM on the rear with OEM pads on them. The rotors have lasted a long time with 2 track days at Barber as well as spirited driving on the street. No warping and hardly any lip on the fronts and a small lip on the back (they were replaced at the same time too)

TireRack and a few other places carry the powerslots and I've been happy with them. Plus they are cad-coated and won't rust. The rears are not and often are very hard to get the wheel off them due to them rusting to the wheel (it's not hurting either the rotor or wheel, just makes them a pain to remove)

I'm swapping to a dustless pad and will probably use a higher performance pad for the track just because the OEM pads dust my wheels too much.
