Hey guys,
After thinking about it for a while i decided to go ahead and get the AA headers and man am I glad i did. I just got them in today and after taking them out of the box i got to take a look at them, WOW they look amazing. The quality exceeded my expectations but then again most AA exhausts are a work of art anyways, I was already so happy with my Gen 3 and track pipe i figured the headers would be just as good. I also figured that it would be best to have a full AA exhaust b/c the parts were engineered to be used together instead of mix-match exhaust (thats my philosophy at least).
Few things i noticed... First the tubing itself is larger diameter than my jet hots by quite a bit. Second, the welds are much higher quality. Third, the merges and collectors are much much smoother than stock and jet hots. Also, the insides of the ports are glass smooth and flat where as stock is a nightmare with lots of weld flash and bumps and imperfections. not on these. The one downside i supposed is its not ceramic coated, but they should still run alot cooler than stock OBD1 cast iron manifolds, dunno about OBD2 (i would assume slightly cooler but probably not noticable. I also like the way the two headers connect to the merge pipe with teh hex bolts, very high quality. The header flange is also roughly 1/2" thick which should prevent warping and etc. over all for looks i give it a 9.5/10.
Here are the pics (below), I don't know when i will install them but i am excited to see how the car will perform with full AA exhaust from headers to tips, i bet it will sound amazing. anyways here are the pics
