Hey ya'll...I just wanted to know how much the factory flywheel weighs on the E36. Reason for asking is because I'm planning on swapping it out with a lighter one and wanted to know the difference. Thanks!

they have the spare listed as 50 lbs. mine only weighed 40. that is a good list, but it should be used as a reference point only.
It is probably a list for 96+ only as the spare is a contour which weighs more than the stock 95 wheels. Youre right the list might not be 100% accurate but I am pretty sure the flywheel weighs more than you think.

no a stock contour weighs within a lb.or 2 of a double spoke 1. no way there is 10lb difference.
when i shipped my dual mass fly, cluch, PP, throwout bearing the total weight of the package was 38lbs.

yeah, i started that post thinking the spare would be a contour (2lbs) and possibly 8.5" wide as the 96+ rear wheels are (maybe add 2 pounds for that and a bit more for the 245 rubber)
Then I realized that the spare would be a 7.5" and I am not sure why there would be a 10 pound discrepancy between the Posers wheels and that listed on the Rogue site.
