    OBD-l manifold installed

Finally got around to installing the M50 manifold in my 99 M3...the throttle response is noticeably affected but I don't really notice any reduced performance in low-end torque (running Conforti software and CAI). Above 4500 RPM the car's a badass!

For the money, I'd definitely recommend this mod.

I have been wanting to do the exact same thing, just worried about emissions in CA. Did you order the kit, and do it your self. If it was easy enough I would do it myself and switch back when smog time comes around. I found a yard that will sell me one for $125 seems about right.

why swap back for smog? I really doubt its going to negatively effect your emissions to the point you won't pass. And I doubt the tech knows the difference between the two intake manifolds.

if you have an M50 manifold - how expensive are the other parts needed for the conversion? It seems that if you piece the kit together yourself it would be much cheaper than buying from a retailer...

i think u need to take those 4 motors and rip the manifolds off them and sell them for 100$ a piece.. lol.. a small money maker.. depending on if u were going to actually rebuild those motors or not

about how much extra money are you gonna spend on the install? Besides the manifold, I want to know about how much to expect to have to pay.
