    M50 torque loss

Is the loss of torque noticable or significant with an M50??

And how would i counter the loss?

    Is it worth itt? :nixweiss:

Manifold? Yes, there is some torque loss associate with it..but everyone and their dog says that it is worth it. I love the way my s52 feels with the m50 manifold.

    Yes, its worth it.

yeah.. the upper range suffers big time due to the flow characteristics of the M52 manifold.. u will lose torque but not much.. u will however gain a significant amount of hp and be able to feel it at the upper end..

I recently installed the M50 manifold and I notice the change in throttle response much more than the loss of torque (have Conforti software and CAI).

        Worth it!

Its nothing big, i lost 5 peak lbft. Nothing really is going to counter it, crank pulley will give the effect of countering it.

do u only lose the peak and keep most of the curve? just curious.. not sure exactly how it would all work out..

after looking at both of them it seems that ur only losing the torque at one point.. from what i can tell the curve is pretty steady up to max and ur not losing much other than the peak.. whereas the hp curve seems to get considerably greater all the way to redline.. i would say this is a perfect mod.. u may lose 4 ftlbs at max but it doesn't seem like ur losing that much across the curve.. what ya think?

I heard that software can make up for the loss of torque also. This true?

to compare, my friends car. Same mods as mine. But with Eurospeed M50 spec software.
