The '98.5-'99 OEM M3 wheel is always a good option! The previous owner wired the steering wheel controls... extremely rare and difficult to do. Good luck!

I am also curious about changing my wheel. I ahve a 97 Sedan. It is a 4 spoke wheel. Does anyone know of some options. Of the research I have done, I have been told that I am unable to put a 3 spoke wheel in. I would appreciate any news.

            Thanks

Thanks guys, it's a great car. I only wish I could take credit for the hard work that went into it! The 4 spoke steering wheel leaves much to be desired. I don't see why installation would be any different in a sedan. Good luck! There's plenty of threads on steering wheel updates on bimmerforums.com.

it depends on which type of 3 spoke wheel it is. a 98.5-99 m3 3 spoke steering wheel will definitely work as Sirius has posted a link of his DIY from his old 4 spoke to his new 3 spoke.

i have a euro m3 3 spoke steering wheel that i will be putting in soon, so i'll let ya know how that works

I would love to get a leather/wood steering wheel. But I don't think that its in the cards.

I just put a Euro 3-spoke in my 98 M3/4. Works like a charm and looks way better than stock 4-spoke.
