Hey all,
Any of you have an opinion on whether a BMW dealer is a better or worse place to get your car worked on? What about if you have Dinan upgrades, or any engine upgrades for that matter?
I dropped my newly purchased E36 ///3 off for a stage 2 service at a dealer thinking they would know best how to take care of my car, and I picked up in worse shape than when I dropped it off; it was misfiring. So I immediately took it back, and even though they have been trying to fix it at no charge ever since, it's been a fricken week, and it's still not fixed. I like the fact that they are making every effort to get it back in working condition (and paying for a rental car), but I don't know if I can trust them enough to bring it back for future service.
They said my Dinan software might be throwing the timing off, but the software has been there since I bought the thing, and worked fine until they got in there and messed with it. :nixweiss: Anyway, what sort of experiences have you all had?
