    Brainstorming and ?'s about splitters

well i have a set of splitters on my ride.. but.. i bottomed out in an Arbys parking lot (fuggin arbys.. another reason why mcdonalds is better :smiley_ab )... i busted the passanger side splitter.. has about a 6 inch crack right along the front mounting bolts, and then a small 1 inch along the corner (and yes it is visible, but can go unnoticed)... my question is has anyone tried to fix theres? i was thinking about an eboxy or even a fiberglass reinforcement, im just worred that when i screw it back on that i might crack the eboxy and then i have a whole different problem.. so any ideas on how to fix um would be great..

also.. for the time being.. i have one splitter.. i plan on taking the other off until the first one is fixed.. but.. its it ok to use the screws that are given with the splitters through the original lip spoiler? is there anything i have to worry about damaging on the inside? the only reason i ask is that they are a bit longer.. figured it might be a good ?.. probably not.. i can't really see it harming anything but i figured i would check.. hit me back with something.. TIA

    i dont have splitters....

that being said, I believe epoxy is a good fix however you must know that the structural integrity has been compromised and will break more easy next time.

does this stuff dry as hard as epoxy or is it more of a rubbery substance when cured?

rubbery, like hardened silicone. it dries black but can be painted over.

well then thats the ticket.. do i have to make it into a rough surface or will it adhere to most any surface?

also what about screwing in the lip right now.. am i good to go.. anything to look for behind there?

just make sure the surface is clean - then you're G2G. the cool thing is if you need to remove the piece later after its cured, you can pull the bead off - like removing caulk. no damage to the piece or the surface.
