I finally made the jump for a 1996 M3 in Black on (Carmel leather?). It is gorgeous!!! And the best part is that it is in mint condition with only 51,000 miles. I guess waiting until I started at the BMW dealership to find the right deal was worth it!!!
Anyway...
I have been looking at the intakes from Cosmo Racing and Cosmos Racing. These two are frequently mixed up and assumed to be the same when in fact they are two different companies.
If I understand what everybody is saying about intakes, performance wise they are pretty much all the same. The sound you get may vary, but if I can get a performance enhancing ram air intake (easy to install) from Cosmo Racing (no 's'), why wouldnt I for only $135?
I have been struggling with this for 2 weeks now, any input is welcome.
Also, I have been considering getting the M50 intake manifold . Is this going to have any significant effect on performance? Will it hurt my midrange torque in order to help high end power? How about effects on reliability?
Thanks in advance for all of your help!
And if anyone needs help with a new BMW in the Charlotte area, let me know...
