    12k for 95 m3 good deal?

This guy i know is selling his 1995 alpine white m3 (my color of choic) for about 12k.

The mileage is 110K. The interior and exterior are in emmaculate condition and he added a few after market parts. i.e. spoiler, exhause, intake.

Does this sound like a good deal or is it to over price?

And any tips on buying an M3 would be greatly appreaciated.

considering the miles.... I'd say yes. I think the BB value is around 14K. If it is imaculate.... sure thing. The mods, are very reasonable, not over the top or anything. Sounds like a safe care for the price.

When you start it, to you hear a lot of clatter. Most M3 sound like tractors, but if it is fairly quite... Hmm I likey

Where are you located? Aftermarket parts do not affect the price. From what I have seen 100k+ 95 M3's usually go for 10-11k.

You need an inspection...inspection...did I mention inspection?, otherwise by the time it gets to 120K and is worth $8500 you might have sunk $17,000 into it.

From what I heard when I started the engines, it sounded clean. No clicks or clatters, but the overwhelming exhaust noise might me covering it up. I haven't test drive the car yet or got an inspection, but the car looks genuinly taken car of. I live in nothern california btw.

It sounds pretty good. But I would at the very least have a compression test done.

That's a great price if you're in northern Cali. I'm from SF, and you'd be lucky to spend less than $14-15 for an M3 with that mileage. Check the ground where the car is always parked and make sure it's not dropping any oil or other fluids. Provided that it passes an inspection and compression test, I think it's a good deal. Make sure the tires are fairly new, the windows roll up and down properly, brakes have alot of wear left on them. All of these little things can add up fairly quickly. New tires alone are $600-1000. So consider all the little things that you might need to do to it as well.
