99' M3- weakest or stongest output???

Hello all. I'm new to the forum and am about to convert from the audi/dub scene. Or is it step up??? Anyway, I've heard conflicting stories regarding the latest e36 M3. Some say it has the strongest obdII motor, others say it falls short on the dyno. Any proof of either of these or facts about this??? I have the opportunity to buy a higher mileage (97k) 99' m3 and want to make sure I know what I'm getting into. Then there's always the obdI & obdII battle, but I wont go there!!!

Seriously haven't heard that one before. No mechanical changes in the 96-99 models. In fact, what I have heard is some thinking that the cars actually outperform the official 240 HP numbers.



Plus, just wait until you read on this forum all the mods you can do!



That is high mileage though, look around and be patient.

any 96-99 m3 is perfect, same motor same everything power wise.
