    Speaker replacement

Do I have to go to the stealership...what are the other options?? I don't want a crazy system...so no subwoofer mania...just normal stuff.

Do you want to know HOW, or do you want to know what kind of speakers to put in?

Which speakers btw? All of them?

don't bother with the stealer speakers.. go after something aftermarket.. if u don't wanna spend much, then get some components up front, the 6x9's in the rear.. and an amp and HU.. ur good to go!

Let me be more specific and thanx for the quick response...

I want good stuff...and plan on replacing all the speakers...with a slight upgrade. Can you replace the speakers individually...will aftermarket speakers fit?

How and what speakers would help...thanx!

Honestly, I saw a major improvement using stock HK's when I only upgraded my HU.

well.. they are better.. but when u need new speakers u might as well go for somethjing better than the HK setup..

..sure...but that just starts the process.

as the crossover for the 3 way's up front is built into the amp, most opt for a 2 way component with passive crossover.

                  then you'll need an amp

                  better head unit....

                  bla bla ba.

if you just want better sound simply, get a better head unit and new factory speakers, there just aren't any other options for drop in, 3 way systems up front any more.

Yeah once you start it is hard to stop. I ended up replacing my entire system but it sounds much better now.

Yeah that's true. It's just such a PITA to take this car's interior apart. :banghead:

can someone post some pictures about changing original speakers and install a subwoofer?

I noticed that current models now come with really good HiFi and you don't need to replace parts of the system
