    95 M50 intake manifold on 3.2

There is a 95 Intake manifold for sale on ebay, I have an intake and tms chip on my 98 3.2 liter m3. Would this manifold actually help my car's hp. would swapping this manifold be worth it?

You'll gain some top end power. Lose a tiny bit of midrange hp and torque. It's worth it though.

it is a popular mod.. some are completely against it.. some are completely for it.. there are arguments on both sides.. to me.. its worth it.. u do lost some midrange torque.. but lets be real.. if your going to race.. ur going to keep the revs high..

There is definately enough power though throughout the powerband. Highend pulls a lot harder... beautiful for racing. And perfectly fine for daily driving.

Important point here is that its not a direct bolt on.

It is to a certain extent. The manifold directly bolts to the head, but that's about it.

It would be advisable to get one of the conversion kits that out on the net. Eurosport makes one, you can get it at m3motorwerks.com. (where I got mine).

You can buy a conversion kit over at bf.com ($300 or something). I just received my M50 in the mail and will not attempt to install myself...however, I've coaxed a mechnically inclined person to help me out.

On the E36 DIY page (sorry, no link at the moment), it's rated at a 3 out of 10 difficulty....cams being a 5/10, and rebuilding an entire engine is a 10/10....
