Nothing is dripping (as in nothing is visually staining the driveway/garage)

here's a little more history on the car:

I just bought it 2 weeks ago from a extremely careful owner, only had 25k miles on it but all required services have been performed

Hmmm, I'm not too sure. Check your engine bay thoroughly around the fuel rail and follow the lines back to see if any of the clamps are loose or something...I assume you smell raw fuel? I'm not sure what else could cause that besides loose or bleeding lines. I don't think you would see any puddles or anything on the ground b/c it'd be hard to drip all the way to the ground and gas evaporates really fast. Check the seal on your gas-cap too, maybe it's loose. Hopefully someone will chime in that knows more about this.

alright, i'll check on all that later on today, as for the smell of the gas, it smells like "hot gas"... i dont know if thats a good enough explaination, but thats the only thing i could think of... thanks again

Well. You have raw fuel smell, then you have the smell from running very rich.

As suggested before, check your fuel lines. Also, where is the smell comming from?

The gaskets that seal the fuel senders may be going bad. Pop up your rear seat's lower pad and take a look at both fuel senders.
