Rear license plate screws

My license plate was stolen and the thief even took the screws. Does anyone know the dimension of these screws? Can these be bought at Home Depot or do I have to buy them through a BMW dealer?

Well if the theif is gonig to pull a robbery and theres camara's aronud better to have some one elses plates on the car than his own :chair:

I have no idea why they picked my plate instead of the other 50+ cars parked outside. The plate was not personalized nor framed. Just a plain plate with 4 screws. Maybe it was neighborhood kids screwing around or someone planning to do some "illegal" stuff with it on another car. :nixweiss:

Make sure you call the police and the DMV to report your plates stolen. You don't want to get blamed for something you didn't do.

they have kits @ your local autoparts store (PEP boys, Kragen, etc.) that have screws, recessed bolts and caps to cover the bolt once installed. they run about $5-$7
