    Baseline Stats?

Just wondering what the stock, from the dealer, stats are on a 1999 M3. The owner's manual (while useful for non M3 information) does not list what the stats are. I know I should know this, but I am curious. TIA. Oh yeah, read in another thread about a "money shift" and I just want to be clear on the terminology.. I am old-school and don't recall ever hearing that one. It is accidentally shifting down instead of up? Or is it missing a shift?

What kind of stats are you looking for?

Money shifting is when the driver is redlining 3rd gear and instead of going into fourth he accidently and unknowingly pulls it into second gear and lets the clutch out. The car over revs and the valves are bent. There are a few more combinations for money shifting than the example listed. There is also a debate if it is the car's or driver's fault.

i believe the US spec cars had 240 hp and 236 ftlbs of trq. a money shift is where you accidentally shift into 2nd from any gear and you over rev, therefore bending the valves (afaik)

technically, the Money Shift is 3rd redlining into 2nd gear.

Those are correct. That's for the 3.2L engine only ('96-'99). The '95's were 3.0L's with 240HP and 225 ft/lbs. for your reference.

              This is for all years:

              1/4mi = ~14.1

              0-60 = ~5.7
