    14.4 Wtf!!! Ggrrr.......

I do the 1/4 mile whenever I can, with my g-tech comp ss. Even if some say it isn't accurate I would figure it's at least consistent. With everything bone stock and crappy tires I was running 14.4's consistently. About a week ago I Put on a Stromung exhaust (sounds amazing) , the Shark Injector, Cone filter, the fan delete, and got new tires. Guess What! Still running 14.4's! Do I **** that bad at driving? I would say no just because I thought was doing pretty good for the car being stock. Was I wrong to think that this setup would get me into the 13's ? All I want to do is run a 13.99999. My 0-60 times went from 6.0 to 5.4 and still no change on the 1/4 mile. Can someone out there teach me how to drive! I've tried launching every which way possible too.........:banghead: :nixweiss: :nixweiss:

Are you on completely flat ground? BTW, what's the trap speed?

u MPH sounds slightly low.. but hell.. i put down a 13.98 at 98.9... so u should definitly have a lower time.. how did ur mphs compare from before? also what year of car and auto/5 speed....but yeah the time sounds a bit high

ps - my run was stock.. so that mph is still alittle wierd..

It's a 98 5 speed, clutch seems fine and all. MPH is about the same as before. If I just do the 0-60 I've gotten anywhere from a 5.2 to 5.8. When I run the 1/4 mile I seem to have around 5.8 though. So do I just **** or what? :nixweiss:

Oh yeah and I got my best 0-60 with what I would say was a slightly week take off. Rev to about 2000 and then mash the gas and feather out the cluth. Only got a slight chirp out of the tires. Does this seem to be the best way to launch for anyone else?

u always want to slip the clutch.. thats the best way to launch.. maybe alittle rough on the clutch.. but its the best as far as dragging good times.. i would take it to a real track.. maybe the little box u got isn't doing the job right..

Well I've gotten a 14.40 with it bone stock, that's my point. I would hate to think these mods are bogus. I'm almost hoping that the g-tech sucks but on the contrary I had the older g-tech in my cavalier and at the track it was dead nuts on with my track times.

To add to the list of mods I am CDV Free. Shifts feel lightning fast . Does anyone know what their 0-60 is?

All I can think is that the tires are the culprits. I wouldn't expect all that much from those mods, but I would think you would get a couple of tenths at least. G Tech is probably not to blame.

Your trap speed seems a little low for a modded M3. I know the G-tech actually displays higher traps than the actual track because it's measured differently. I'm still calling that the ground isn't prefectly flat. Run both directions and average the results. On my stock M3 with the G-tech I was able to get 14.0 @ 99 MPH with the clutch slipping slightly between shifts.

I did my best with some OLD Michelin PS's and dropped the hammer at 3500 RPM. I have recently taken 100lbs off the car so I am guessing I may be able to break 14 with my vert. See the new thread on weight loss.
