Again 14.4 is a normal time for E36's. Also the G tech pro isn't a Drag strip with costly timing machines. So don't think this is the end of the world.

:chair: with that mph u should have a much MUCH better time.. :chair: try it again though.. with that MPH u can doo it! low 13s...

I am tring to protect my clutch .... I have a Gtech Pro Competition ... The smg has a launch control. ..that was my best time ...average is 14 dead .. and 104mph ish.

I took advice from forum ... raise pressur in fronts 40psi ...rears 29psi .. beleive me it makes a big differance as well as the usual weight reduction tips.

thats just really wierd because with a 104+ trap speed you should be MUCH lower.. but maybe the car just wont hook up... in ur case u have to do alot of feather of the gas pedal since u have no clutch to help in aiding that... my guess is ur getting alot of 2nd gear spin?? eliminate all spinning in a run and ull be good to go... maybe the smgs just werent quick and didn't transfer the power as well :nixweiss: or is ur track alittle longer than a 1/4 mile? just wierd

HAHA the cavalier ran a 15.99 at like 85 or 86mph. Not bad considering it was a auto ( I just stuck to racing civics). Going to an m3 was definately one of the best choices I ever made. I think I'm going to take the spare tire and system out of the trunk and run the 1/4 with my windows up and see how I do. I just wish there was someone around the western MA area that could tell me if I'm doing something wrong.

I ran 13.7 at almost 104MPH with every bolt except Headers and Cams few weeks ago before I pulled it out, now I have to see what I'll run with my S54 with 6 Speed.

Sold it with the motor, except A&A Gen 3 cat back which I'm running right now.

How long ago did you add the shark injector and exhaust. It may take some time for the car to adjust to the new stuff. But it appears as though your mods have helped you at the low end but possibly degraded your top end -- hence the faster 0-60 and the same 1/4 mile time. If you dyno'd the car before the mods and you go back and do it again, you may see what has happened. Just a thought.

I've had the shark injector for about 2 weeks now. I have noticed when I run the 1/4 mile my 0-60 times are a little slower than if I'm just doing my 0-60. I don't know if I'm in a different mind set or what. I ran a 14.2 yesterday with a 5.9 0-60 so I guess if I can get a 5.2 - 5.4 like when I'm just doing the 0-60 I'll be happy.

You can only get a timeslip with an ET, 60' time and trap speed at a drag strip.
