SO I had one Angel eye out, I got everything out fine, siliconed the new DDE to the lens, let it cure for 24 hours, everything was great. When I went to put it back into the housing, I applied silicone lightly around the edge, made sure that the DDE wires had some slack as not to rip out and slowly started working it in. Everything looked perfect and then snap. I lost one of the little black clips on the outside of the lens. So am I screwed? Can I still get this lens in this housing well enough to stay or what can I do?

I broke one of my black clips that holds the lens in place also. I ended up setting the glass in the hole, used some 3M strip caulk to hold the glass in place and used silicon glue around the entire edge of the glass lens. I let the glue cure for a couple hours and put the headlamp back together and back in the car. Last time I took the headlights apart that lens was still in the same spot I left it, and in there tight.

Thanks dude, glad to know I'm not a complete retard. Everything went sooooo good for me getting them apart (which I know isn't a big deal but I usually get trouble like the clip beeaking early on) so I was pumped to get themback together and finally in the car. Now I'm so ticked off I just can't stop shaking. My love for this car is gonna give me an aneurysm.
.....I'm gonna pick up the stuff to bond the lens tomorrow. 1 last thing though Trev. When I set the lens in the hole, it seems to need to be pushed in a very little, I'm assuming due to some slight resistance from the DDE itself or it's wires passing across the top of the lens edge. Is this normal, and will the caulk/Silicone keep it in place if I maybe apply a little weight during the curing of the compounds to set the lens down that 16th of an inch deeper where it should be. Thanks as always. -BJ

I have DDE Enhanced, on ZKWs. They fit well but it just seems like I have to push the lens down with a slight force in order to get it to sit 100 %properly. I think if I can just keep some constant pressure on them as the silicone (would epoxy be stronger here???) dries it should be fine.....I hope. I don't know
