    In addition to regular maintenance

Ok guys, ive posted a couple threads about what i should mod, and some of the maintenance issues but havent gotten good replies, or maybe im just not seeing them.

I got my car in Aug. 2003 with 27,500 miles for $25,500 with a 3-year, 75K warranty with a $100 deductible - which actually turned out to be much better than the BMW issued extended warranty as far as coverage. I currently have 72k on it.

Moving on - here are the things that i have replaced/repaired on my car since:

OEM lightup shiftknob, Left wheel bearing, and tiebar, horn, drivers side window regulator, door lock control unit(w/alarm DL control unit), replaced VANOS, replaced 3 idler pulleys & 2 belts, 4 new rotors and pads (although they still squeak from time to time), *TUNEUP @ 60K incl: Radiator flush, Powersteering flush, Brake Fluid flush, Diff. flush (all fluids from factory), spark plugs, air filter, fuel filter, cabin filter, oil filter and oil change(mobile 1 syn. 10w-30 as always)*, Alpine 6 disc MP3/CD changer in trunk, 3 year unlimited alignment from NTB, 2 rear tires, Leatherique on front and rear seats (1x only), lubricated steering wheel and clutch pedal bushing.

Thats about all i can remember, although there might be other little stuff. From problems ive read about in recent threads - I sometimes hear a noise ONLY when starting out in first gear that sounds like a grinding or vibrating (hard to descibe), the brake light circuit error comes up when it rains outside (going to replace the switch), and suggestions on replacing the shocks and RTAB's but not sure what to do.

    Almost done...

What do you suggest i should do/check on the car next as far as maintenance?

Same question for modifying for some descent gains?

Thanks for your help. I promise i wont ever post the same questions again if i can please just get a concise answer.

I suggest driving school before mods, and mod accordingly where you feel the car lacks.

Lube the little things like sunroof track (I believe you use silcone spray), check for any signs of corrosion in far reaching cavities. You sure put some miles on that car fast!. Just wondering what BMW charged you for thoise fluids? I was at the dealer yesterday and they wanted close to $200 to change the diff fluid, as they stated that the juice cost $132 cdn for three litres. What?

You have a list like I do:

Shocks/springs, oil changes (many), radiator, coolant flush, brake flush, tranny/diff fluid. Repaired my SSK, replaced all four rims, two sets of tires, slip ring, RSM's with the Z3 reenforcement plate, RTAB's, alignment, complete brake set, output shaft seal and selector rod seal on the tranny, belt's and tensioners (twice), exhaust, air filter (due again), cabin filter (twice, due again after pollen season ends), sensor mat + control box in passenger front seat, power steering lines, power steering pump. On my second headunit now, second shift knob, replaced alternator.

Like salty suggested, lube things up. Sunroof tracks, door catches and hinges, the hood catch (you don't want that to get stuck closed).

I paid $700 for the full service...so are those the only things i should look for? should i be expecting the clutch or anything else to go soon?

Also trevor youve suggested getting the e46shocks with z3 plates...how much do those run? any help with the price from BMW ffx? thanks
