DS 1's to Contours? May be confusing.

I would like to change out my DS 1's to Contours for my summer tires and use the DS 1's for the winter setup. I have a staggard set + one 7.5" of the contours and I'm trying decide if should find two more 8.5" for a that square setup or one more 7.5" and retain the original 95 square set with the 7.5"s. I guess my question is there any advantage to either the 8.5's all around or the staggard over the 7.5's all around. Sorry if this sounds like a silly question. Does size really count?

it would certainly be easier to find a 7.5" contour than two 8.5"'s...Personally, I'd prob stick with the staggered setup that you already have, maybe use 235's all around? or just use 245's our back and 235's up front.

Really, it depends if you're tracking the car or not...if its summer/street tires I'd just stick with the staggered wheels and do the 235/245 tires, doubt you'd be able to tell much of a difference on the road between that and a square setup.

I like the look of the staggards and that the easiest for me since I already have them. I appreciate your reply.

yes it's the difference between over and understeer. also less rolling resistance with thinner front tires. but if you never see the limits of traction, it's all the same :-)

A square 7.5" setup would be preferable for winter driving.

You could probably make some money trading your DSII rears for somebody's fronts.

I'd look for a square setup for sale on BFC. Occasionally there are some sweet deals on there with tires.
