Aftermarket aux fan

Has any one replaced the aux fan with an aftermarket unit. Did you keep the stock shroud? Do I need a pusher or puller?

Pusher fan. New shroud should come with it. I bought the VDO unit from Pelican Parts. No complaints. Direct replacement and good fit.
