Cooling system bleeding woes.

Also helps to have the car jacked up in the front only, so that the air will rise to the highest point.
This... Just jack front up as high as it goes, open bleen screw and fill expansion tank until it stops dropping. Putin bleed screw and cap and go for a drive. You could bleed out air from the bleed screw when it gets to the 1st tick mark, or just wait until next time and top it off. Never had a problem with it.

Is the hose hot? Hot hose = wet hose.
How much fluid do you add to the system? The capacity is 2.85 gal.
It seems like a lot more than that when it is spilled all over the garage floor.
Only about a gallon and a half. I didnt bleed the block, because the coolant was completely flushed recently. Only the radiator and upper/lower hoses were bled.
And the hose is hot. But when i squeeze it, a mixture of water and air comes out of the small hole below the cap of the expansion tank. Its like its spitting. There is definitely air in there, and it refuses to come out.
You can't "bleed the block" directly. There is only one bleed point and with the front of the car on stands, that point is the highest point. Bleed from there and any air in the block should make its way to the bleed screw and out of the system. Bleed (liberally) from that point and your job is done (although a follow up bleed is recommended to "burp" the system just in case some air was trapped sometimes you'll have some many times you won't).
The reason you may be getting air when you squeeze the hose like that is because you haven't filled the system all the way up yet. I always seem to under estimate how much new coolant I will need and it does seem like it just keeps eating it but it will stop or you will find a massive leak somewhere.
Go... do... be relieved
