i've got a problem, I took your advice in replacing the front control arms on my M3 and I am in the process of installing my control arms/FCABS and I ran into a big problem.... The right side bolted right up with little hassle, however this was not the case with the left hand side that had gotten hit. Now I think that the front cross member or something up there is not lined up right or bent.. because the FCAB(#4) is about 1/4" or less from lining up with the holes in the chassis. I tried taking the front strut off to get it to line up, tried moving the control arm in every way possible to get the FCAB bracket holes to line up. The FCAB/wishbone bracket and its all the way forward on the arm. My previous arm had pushed through the bushing and it was actually over the arm about 1/4 of an inch(obviously something is off). I don't know what to do, is the front cross member on a eccentric hole so that it can be aligned get it to sit right?? I only need about 1/4" max, I didn't have a tape with me to measure the exact amount. Was so excited to be on the home stretch, now i'm in a deep hole. If it is the front cross member, I have found one for 80$ that is in "perfect condition and repainted"
any help would be greatly appreciated!!
