EDIT: This issue was resolved, so want to make that clear. Turns out to have been a couple instances of failed communication, nothing more.
So in preparation for working on a number of suspension issues for both cars I purchased a number of tools. One of these was the RTAB tool from MISTools.net, a tool that has a good reputation and seemed to be a quality piece. Unfortunately I did not dig a little deeper to find that while the tool has a good reputation the company has received some shady reviews to say the least.
After 9 days of nothing and no response to emails I give them a call. The guy doesn't answer the first time, just picks up on the 3rd ring and then it sounds like he hangs up. Nice. So I call back, this time he answers with a rather sleepy "Hello". Interesting, and this is how a business answers? Anyway, so I explain the reason for my call and he says he needs to "look up my order" and can he call me back. This seems odd, that it would take that long, but I say ok. So after 20 minutes he calls back and suggests that he sent me a couple emails requesting my shipping address and since he never heard back he didn’t process the order. Said PayPal conveniently failed to send him my shipping info?!? Funny, I never received any emails, not even in the spam catcher (which I check), and as a business user of PayPal for almost 10 years all that info is right there in the transaction details on the PayPal website (I ship 3-5 packages a week, never had this problem). It is obvious the guy lost, forgot or ignored the order, though my bet is on the former.
The purpose of this post is to merely convey my experience with MISTools.net, and since there are a good number of posts on other forums mentioning similar experiences it would seem this may be a common issue. You might have or may have had better luck than I did with them. The tools themselves have received excellent reviews and I am sad that I was unable to get one for my own use. Right now I do not have time to wait around and with $2500 worth of parts sitting in boxes I must move on and make do with what I have. Guess I will have to go old school and buy some pipe fittings….
