Ok, I see what you did. Did you attach that black wire to the car body anywhere?

I circled the ground connection to the body as illustrated by the manual.

    I didn't

So if I simply ground the wire to the chassis, it would reverse the effect of the system?

Yes, the alarm needs a good ground. Both the black wires (at alarm and siren) need to be attached to the chassis.

Ok cool! The alarm now works! Thanks!

Now, I kinda came across another issue. When I arm the vehicle it locks just fine. However, when I unlock the vehicle it doesnt want to unlock right away. It takes me a few clicks before the doors want to unlock. What do you think the problem could be?

How many times do you have to press the disarm button before it will unlock? Is it the same every time?

I've had to press the lock and unlock button 3-4 times before the door actually unlocked.

I have no problem locking it though...

With my stock alarm / keyless, if I don't hold the unlock button long enough it doesn't register. Don't know if that's what's happening to you. It's not like I have to hold it down, I just have to press it longer than, say, a mouse click. Never seems to be a problem when locking, though.

I just noticed that I do have to hold it a little longer to unlock the doors
