Thanks for answering all my questions about "Dove" interior color.

Wedge is affordable. However for some reason they push the driver seat a full inch to the left. If you went that route have them make them an inch to the right. You would use recaro slider. The billet mounts that are side to side adjustable would be better if you have the budget.

Thank you for the response. Are you using Wedge?

I've heard of the off-center position. I might consider having them modify them. I'm also worried about them being too low.

See my post above. If you want adjustable height and a centered seat get the recaro height adjustable tracks and the VAC mounting brackets.

if the parts are not that far in the back of a shelf near stuff that could fall on my roadster I will shoot a picture for you in the next few days.

Here is the track from Turner's site. You can cut a hole off to make it lower if it is too high. It comes with a bottom piece that mounts to the floor of a Porsche or the VAC mounting adapter.

Yeah the vac rails are much nicer. I would spend the $$ for them if I did it again. I didn't like my recaro as it pushed my shoulders forward and was pretty miserable after a couple hours. You can tell looking at a seat if it will do this, if it wraps forward at the shoulders. E46 m3 and e39 m5 seats have big bolsters down at your sides but flatten out across the shoulders. Of course the fit will be different for different people.

I ended up putting manual e46 m3 seats in which IMHO are very comfortable, have excellent napa leather, and generally are just awesome. They are good for lateral support but not as good as recaro speed. They were built by recaro - I think similar to the 'style' model? Anyway you can go cross country in them and still go to autocross.

Most people want low because if you ever get into autocross or track you will want the headroom to clear your helmet.

I have a standard wedge bracket you can have cheap if you like. I made some offset brackets to move the seat over the inch.

Thanks for the info. I'm curious to how the tabbed sliders mount to the VAC floor mounts.

It seems like I will be too low with the VAC mounts.

Thank you for the response. Hopefully the Speeds work for me, but I can always sell them if not.

I'm glad the E46 M3 seats are working well for you. They are pretty comfy seats.

I don't think I'll have trouble wearing a helmet due to my height.

I might be interested in the bracket. What did you do to modify it?

I bolted little extenders on and didn't modify it. I may still have the extenders I'll check

Dont buy Wedge, they are a shit company with crappy build standards. I had to send my brackets back to them 4 times and they still didnt get them right.

Their customer service is shit and their "fabricators" are terrible. Weld slag all over the place, mounting holes arent square and lined up, etc. The list is long.

Apparently Wedge isnt the same company it used to be. It was recently (past year or so) purchased by someone else who took rights on the jigs and such. The company now sucks huge ass.

Im telling you, they don't check anything. I specifically requested a lower seating position since i'm 6'2" and they were like "Oh yea, no problem". Needless to say my head his the roof of my car.

They do not, can not and will not build to your specs. Shit company i'm telling you, avoid them at all costs.

That would explain why the seating was so far to the left, I was looking at it and was dumfounded why it was over to the left. Made no sense at all

?The tabbed tracks have another piece not in the picture. The bottom piece screws to the VAC mount, and the bottom of the track screws to the top in one of those three holes.

My wife is 5'2 and she fit with the tabbed track, my buddy is almost 6' and he fit with a helmet.

I'm using the hms/recaro bracket and it's honestly the best option. I had wedge brackets on a different set of SRD's and it was too off center.

Oh ok that makes more sense. How does everything fit? Centered with the wheel?

That's good to hear. I like that it's adjustable.

I would love to have those but they seem to be back ordered.

Do you know of anyone who has them in stock still?

HMS guys recommended the "Planted" brackets to me and said a lot of the guys working there ran them. They looked like a sturdy and simple design with a great price tag. I'll probably be going with them when i get around to doing seats.
