    FCP Euro Guarantee Question

In regards to their lifetime guarantee, is this the same concept as say autozones brake pad lifetime warantee? Im not trying to slide one past them as their parts are very generously priced, but i cant help but disect the wording.

    In the confirmation email:

Also, we guarantee everything we sell for life. The FCP Guarantee means if you are ever dissatisfied with your purchase you can return it for replacement or refund at any time.

    On their guarantee page:

We want to make sure you get the right parts and that they meet your expectations from day one and every day thereafter. We stand so strongly behind the quality of the parts we sell, we're willing to guarantee fitment and guarantee the part, for it's entire life.

First, we make every effort possible to ensure you get the right part the first time. But if you happen to receive a part that doesn't fit, we pay shipping both ways until you're happy.

Second, if a part we have sold to you does not live up to your expectations for any reason at any time, you can send it back for a replacement or a full refund, yup, at any time. So if you think a part did not provide you the value you expected, send it back. Its that simple

I just ordered LCA Balljoints and FCABS, and cannot help but think, when they wear out, cause they will, can i send them back? I have no problem paying their prices again for new ones, but, a dollar saved, is another dollar added to the car.

I would think that wear and tear is not covered. If the part didn't live up to your expectations when it was performing as designed, that's one situation. Once use has altered the functionality of the part, it's no longer functioning as designed.

But i'd call them and ask. They're very helpful. I was there last week because I bought a fuel pump from them that was DOA.

I appreciate it Nick, i noticed you dipped off the radar for a while, welcome back. Ill call them eventually im sure. I never like taking advantage of people, hell i dont even mention being active military for discounts. But if this is something they encourage, why not right? thanks again :hattip:

i don't think they'll let you do that otherwise they'd be going out of business. I think what they mean by expectations is that we expect an OEM bushing to last 80K, if it were to fail say in 20K, then it wouldn't have met expectations.

Autozones great lol no questions asked replacement. I get new pads and rotors once a year just to keep them fresh.

You guys know about autohauseAZ? (http://www.autohausaz.com/index.html)

They have the best prices I've found and free shipping.

lol everyone knows about autohausaz but theyre subpar, I dont use them anymore, thebmwminipartstore is cheaper/bigger selection. I goto fcp over autohaus as well bc they price match, have a better layout/selection, and customer support is day and night better.

I have thought the same for their lifetime warranty as well, the way its worded it comes off as more of a promo to seal you on a purchase as opposed to something thats as literal as its promise.

used to go to autohausaz for years, but FCP outdoes them on price everytime now. even FCP's free shipping spend requirement is better

I'm getting ready to buy shocks/struts and autohauseAZ is cheaper.

I'll keep FCP in mind for other items.

FCP has excellent customer service. They really don't ask too many questions and they're happy to cover your return shipping costs.

That being said, I wouldn't abuse their generosity. They pride themselves on being customer service leaders and this, along with excellent pricing and the money saving kits they assemble attracts consumers. The ONLY thing I don't like about FCP is their location. Sometimes I need something quick and for that, AutohausAZ or BMA Parts (located in LA) can't be beat, as their standard (free) shipping usually arrives the next business day.

Autohausaz generally has better pricing on lemforder bushings and suspension parts. Another thing to like is that while the selection is limited, when you order something they go get it and put it in a box, usually that day, and ship it to you.

I like fcp and of course ecs is the best web site/pics/info by far.

ECS is getting a little annoying with the stuff they only stock in ten packs.

Well with buying the inner and outer ball joints instead of an entire control arm, I will not be abusing any return policy. $50 a side over $125+? Absolutely. Now, just have to find a shop to push them in! I'll have to put autohaus on my favorites list with pelican parts and fcp euro, ecs as well. Love the support for these cars!

Why not just get new arms? I've never messed with the ball joints on any of my cars. I just bought everything in one shot.

Also, I think Tischer (getbmwparts.com) has excellent pricing on Genuine BMW Parts. $260 for lower control arm bushings, rear trailing arm bushings, engine mounts, transmission mounts, and diff mounts is a pretty damn good deal. They also offer cooling system and other kits. $420 for new arms and bushings.

If you are referring to OEM parts of 10-packs+ that is BMW, not ECS. You are forced to buy certain parts in minimum qty, no way around it. I still need to figure out what to do with the 23 left over washer jet line holders for the E46 I only needed two for...
